FST—TS1810 Single-Side Cylindrical Battery Testing and Sorting Machine is an automated device designed for voltage and internal resistance testing of cylindrical batteries. This testing and sorting system integrates PLC control with an industrial PC. The PLC controls AC servo motors, variable-speed motors, and pneumatic cylinders to execute sorting functions, while the PC handles data acquisition, processing, and storage. It processes approximately 4,200 finished cylindrical battery cells per hour. Featuring a sleek and simple mechanical design, the system delivers stable testing performance. Currently, it stands as one of the most cost-effective cylindrical battery sorting solutions available on the market.
Process Flow
Through the testing and sorting system on the industrial computer, parameters such as battery grade, battery batch, and battery model are set, along with manual debugging. The PLC automatically performs the following functions: manual loading of full boxes of cells → pneumatic cylinder pushes batteries to the belt position → pneumatic cylinder pushes batteries to the testing position → tests voltage and internal resistance → robotic arm simultaneously picks up 5 batteries → robotic arm sorts batteries into respective storage bins → manual boxing. The equipment features audible and visual alarms to handle material overflow pauses and fault alerts. Operating parameters can be freely configured according to customer requirements. The voltage and internal resistance testing/sorting function provides 10 grading levels.
