The demand on electric vehicle has increasing rapidly, and as you might notice that we could see electric vehicle easily in our community, for instance Tesla, the pioneer of electric vehicle manufacturer, has been successfully pushing the vehicle industry into a new generation, motivating more traditional vehicle manufacturers, Mercedes, Porsche, and Ford, etc., focusing on the development of electric vehicle on the recent years. We as a welding machine manufacturer also feels the change on demand of electric vehicle, because our welding machine has been choosing for battery welding by numerous of domestic and oversea vehicle manufacturers for years, and the demand on the welding machine has been increasing sharply, especially during these couple years. Therefore, we foresee that the day of “road to full electrification” is incoming, and it could be faster than we image. Below is a bar chart from EV volumes, to show the increasing sales and percentage growth on BEV+PHEV in 2020 and 2021. The chart tells that the sales of EV has increased a lot in the globe.
The demand on electric vehicle has been increasing exponentially during these years, and we believe below are the major reasons causing it. The first reason is because of the increasing awareness of environmental protection in the world, as the air pollution releases from vehicle has been harming the environment for decay. The second reason would be the going down economy has lowering down public’s purchasing ability, and they find that electric vehicle’s charging cost is much lower than the gasoline, especially while the conflict between Ukraine and Russia has pushing the oil price to the ceiling, electric vehicle becomes a better option for car owner. The third reason is the government’s policy on electric vehicle. Government from different countries has been publishing new policies to advocate the use of electric vehicle, for instance, China government provides funding program to help citizens to purchase electric vehicle and popularized the charging station in the community, pushing the citizens to adapt into the e-life sooner than other countries. If you could see the bar chart above, you would see that the sales of electric vehicle have increased 155% in one year.
Below “Outlook for EV market share by major region chart” from Deloitte, it shows the market share of EV would continue increasing till 2030.
